2015 Holiday Gift Guide for Your Healthy Kitchen
It takes an army to make the healthy goodies you see coming out of #whitskitch — an army of fit kitch gadgets.
“Fitchen gadgets,” if you will.
This year I’m letting you in on all the things I currently rely on it my own kitchen, or am begging Santa to bring me.
Vitamix TurboBlend Two Speed ($380)
Despite what you may think after watching the Saturday Night Live sketch, you do not need to spend $650 to get a good Vitamix. I got mine for around $300 a few years ago and it sees more action that any other appliance in my kitchen. I LOVE IT. I don’t know what the $650 ones are like, but I seriously can’t imagine it getting better than this.
I know this is still a lot for a blender, but you will not regret it. It’s number one on my list for a reason.
Going with a reconditioned Vitamix is a totally legit option as well.
Only the best for your Macaccinos and healthy green tea lattes.
How cute is this?! It’s a mini cast iron skillet, measuring in at a mere 3.5 inches. Perfect for making single-serving dishes and/or pretending you’re a giant in the kitchen.
Pure Food Cookbook ($18)
Have this — love it. You need to get it. Need convincing? Check out the Raw Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe >>
There are so many things to love about this gorgeous water bottle: 1. It’s my favorite metal – gold 2. It’s stainless steel, so it’s good for the environment and your bod. 3. It has a big mouth opening, for major water guzzlers like myself. 4. Did I mention that it’s gold?
Le Creuset Dutch Oven (on sale! $180)
I love my dutch oven. Not just because it looks beautiful sitting on my stove with its rosy red color matching my red oven knobs, but because it’s so useful! Just this week alone I’ve made Mulled Wine, Sweet Potato Turkey Chili and my Cheesy Salsa Chicken + Quinoa Bake in here.
These whimsical glass bottles add a splash of color to your kitchen. Use them to store your homemade “spa water.”
All Clad 4-Square Belgium Waffle Maker (on sale! $200)
Trust me when I say: this is the be all, end all of waffle makers. It doesn’t get better than this.
I first encountered this waffle maker while housesitting for a friend and the hubby and I (BF at the time – perhaps this contributed to that?) were so blown away by the amazing waffles I was able to make with this device that we immediately had to have one.
We deliberated for a long time because of the cost but then decided that you just can’t put a price on perfect waffles. We use it every weekend and now both my mother-in-law and sister-in-law have one too!
Bonne O Carbonated Beverage Maker (on sale! $99)
Trying to help a loved one get healthy this new year? Cutting out soda is a biggie. But — it’s easier said than done.
With a carbonated beverage maker though, your friend can have their fizzy drinks and their fit bod. Using fresh fruit, herbs, or really any flavoring, they can make a wide variety of nutritious, sparkling elixers. OR — healthy holiday cocktails!
I have enough gold decorative items — said no one ever. Just think of all the beautiful #instafood photos you can take with these!!
