2015 Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers
We’re six days away from Christmas and I’m finally wrapping up my gift guide — procrastination at it finest.
Time to start thinking about the final touches, stocking stuffers!
My mom has always put a lot of time and effort into picking the perfect gifts for our family’s stockings, and once I was old enough to drive, stocking stuffing became a ritual for my sister and I as well. We’d go out Christmas Eve and find little goodies for our parents. It was always simple stuff — gum, candies, and magazines from the drugstore — but it’s the thought that counts, right?!
Though I’m 30-years-old and no longer believe in Santa (or do I), I still love the tradition. There’s something really fun and special about gathering around the fireplace with your family on Christmas morning to see what surprises everyone has received. I enjoy it just as much as unwrapping a big gift under the tree.
Plus, stockings are the perfect size for so many health and fitness gifts that I truly love receiving and always need — earbuds, headbands, water bottles, snacks, etc.
So this year, I’ve put together a Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide, with a bunch of health and fitness related items, all under $50. Mom, take note.
Fabletics Metallic Slouch Beanie ($20)
The weather outside may be frightful but you will be full of cheer in this adorable sparkly beanie. Great for hitting the slopes, or just lounging around drinking hot cocoa.
The Art of Tea Holiday Sampler ($25)
With festive flavors like White Winter Chai, Dark Chocolate Peppermint, Butterscotch, and Pumpkin Pie, this organic tea sampler is perfect for the health-conscious tea connoisseur. They also have a great Wellness Sampler pack.
The Art of Tea was created by Steve Schwartz , a “master tea blender” and Ayurvedic medicine enthusiast. He is constantly traveling the world looking for the most high quality botanicals for his unique, rare blends. Basically — this stuff is legit.
This is Ground Cord Taco (from $12)
A cord what? A cord taco. Can you eat it? No, but you will enjoy it almost as much as a tasty taco.
These super cool little leather thing-a-ma-jigs keep your earbuds and other cords from getting all tangled up.
No more standing around on the treadmill wasting precious time trying to remember your girl (or boy) scout untangling skills.
In 2 Green Eco Herringbone Sock ($15)
As if the quality and stylish print isn’t reason enough to scoop up these comfy socks, St. Nick will add you to his nice list just for buying them.
All of In 2 Green’s “eco luxury” products are made from recycled organic cotton or polyester and produced sustainably, right here in the U.S. By reusing fabric, they help cut down on landfill use and conserve energy and natural resources.
Four Sigma Mushroom Hot Chocolate ($20)
Healthy hot chocolate? Yes please! Don’t let the mushroom content scare you off — 1. This doesn’t taste like mushrooms. 2. Reishi mushrooms are believed to enhance immunity and reduce stress/anxiety, both helpful in the hustle bustle of holiday season.
Sweetened with coconut palm sugar and stevia, one serving of this delicious, chocolatey drink is only 25 calories and 2 grams of sugar. It comes in two flavors: Sweet Cinnamon or Dark + Spicy.
Beautycounter Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer ($42)
Perfect for the babe who wants a little coverage but a natural look. This SPF 20 lightweight moisturizer gives you a nice glow while working out outdoors, without clogging your pores.
It’s made with EWG-approved ingredients and uses zinc-oxide for sun protection instead of chemical sunscreens.
Macaccino Roasted Maca Blend ($24)
You’ve heard me raving about maca before and it all started with this delicious maca powder.
Sol Foods Natural makes this amazing “Macaccino,” a blend of Peruvian maca root powder and other organic superfoods. It tastes just like a mocha and is supposed to help boost energy levels, despite having no caffeine. It’s only 35 cals and 2 grams of sugar per serving, and all you have to do is mix it with hot water!
Gorjana Power Gemstone Bracelet for Balance ($38)
A great gift for your fitness friends — this pretty, delicate bracelet lends style to your activewear without getting in the way during your workout. They come in several varieties of gemstones/colors, each representing different power characteristics.
This one is my favorite (and one I regularly wear while getting my sweat on) because it signifies balance — something I strive for in my life and with my health goals.
Knockaround Sunglasses ($20)
You’ve probably seen these on the blog before. In fact – I just wore a pair during my Spartan race!
These are the best shades for exercising/adventure sports. They’re comfy, stylish, UV protective, impact resistant, and at $20 a pair, you won’t be afraid to break/lose them by diving face first into a pool of mud.
Yuni Beauty Yoga + Gym Bag Essentials Kit (on sale! $44)
Remember Yuni Beauty — the line of wellness products I told you about, specifically for yogis?! They have this awesome pack full of all the essentials for your fit fam/friends.
The kit includes No Rinse Body Cleansing Foam, Shower Sheets, Concentrated Body Cleansing Cream, Rejuvenating Hand Cream, Aromatic Body Mist, and Hydrating Body Conditioner. No time to shower, no problem!
