Maca Berry Breakfast Smoothie Bowl
I have been fantasizing about smoothie bowls ever since I starting following an account called Breakfast Criminals on Instagram.
Let me tell you – if you saw their feed, your breakfast would never seem adequate again. They pretty much put every smoothie bowl I’d ever seen to shame and made me seriously question my #breakfastgoals.
Well, at least they did.
As of this weekend, I am living in smoothie envy no more.
I’ve come up with a breakfast smoothie bowl that I’d like to think is just as pretty as their perfectly curated creations.
Not only that — it’s extremely easy to make and has a secret ingredient to get you going in the morning.
It’s Rebbl‘s incredibly delicious Cold Brew made with fair-trade coffee, organic coconut milk, and Peruvian maca.
If you haven’t tried it before, maca tastes a little like coffee with an earthy, bitter flavor. It has antioxidant properties and has been reported to fight fatigue, balance hormones, and even rev your sex drive.
Anyway, all you need for this bowl is the drink, frozen bananas, and frozen raspberries. The toppings are up to you, but I’d recommend more raspberries, more bananas, cacao nibs, and some homemade granola.
- 1 Can of Rebbl Maca Cold Brew
- 2 Frozen Bananas
- 1 C. Frozen Raspberries
- 1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder (optional)
- ¼ C. Granola
- ½ Banana, sliced
- 2 T. Raspberries
- 1 tsp. Cacao Nibs
- Puree Rebbl Maca Cold Brew, frozen bananas, and frozen raspberries together in a blender.
- Pour into a bowl.
- Add toppings!
I’m not gonna lie, this bowl is maca-mazing.
Fyi — the granola shown here is Dark Chocolate Cranberry Pistachio and I’ll be sharing the recipe with you soon. In the meantime, try my Cinnamon Blueberry Granola if you need a quick fix.

I don’t know about maca berry but maca root supplement has made a BIG difference on reducing hot flashes so I am sleeping much better and the flashes are milder during the day. So thankful!
Whitney English says:
Maca berry is just the name of the bowl because I used berries in the mix :) The maca in the recipe is maca root, found in the REBBL drink. That’s so great to hear that it has helped you! I’ve been trying it lately as an alternate energy booster to regular coffee and I love it!

I have not tried Maca…I didn’t realize it tastes like coffee. I absolultey loveee smoothie bowls. Living in Portland, I’ve become a HUGE proponent of acai bowls and love them with some good toppings and crunch. This seems even better with a coffee/chocolate taste!
Whitney English says:
Yeah, it’s pretty cool! Let me know if you try it! xo
