Holiday Gift Guide: For Your Fit Fella
Like the major procrastinator I am, I didn’t start holiday shopping until last night, while writing this post.
Blogging is one of the few things I don’t procrastinate on though, so thankfully this gift guide knocked out two tasks with one keyboard. In the process of finding fit gifts for you fine folks, I narrowed down exactly what to get my Fit Fellas and Fitness-sistas.
Today’s gift guide rounds up my tops choices of health-promoting gifts for the men in your life.
I’ve specifically instructed my father and fiancé that they are absolutely not allowed to read this post since I’ll be discussing a few of their potential presents. They’re not very obedient though, so I better repeat myself:
Stop reading this post, misters!
OK, that should have done the trick. Let’s get to it.
Saucony Triumph ISO Series, $149.95
The first gift on my list is a pair of Saucony Triumph ISO Series running shoes.
If my man is still reading at this point, it’s actually alright because he already has these.
He got them as a part of a recent campaign with FitFluential (one of the many perks of dating a blogger) and was supposed to write a review. Since he has been so busy though, I decided to let him off the hook and do the reviewing on his behalf.
I can honestly say he’s worn these shoes to workout everyday since he got them. In his words, “They’re the most comfortable running shoes I’ve ever had.”
We took them for a test drive at Griffith Park recently and I can vouch that they had him running at the speed of Mr. Chow — which is surprisingly fast, despite what you may think from my latest Instagram post.
Brooks Running Essential Nightlife Half Zip, $65
One word: slick. This comfy long-sleeve pullover will keep your man running in style.
Added bonus, it will keep him safe too. If your dude runs through parking lots with his earbuds drowning out warning sounds, blissfully unaware of traffic, you’ll feel a little more at ease when he’s sporting this.
Lumo Lift – Posture and Activity Tracker, $99
Both the men in my life have back/posture issues. My main squeeze sits hunched over a desk all day and my dad has years of back problems and pain that just keep compounding.
This innovative activity tracker will not only keep your guy healthy by monitoring his daily activity, it also has sensors that alert him to poor posture. A little buzz will help remind him to stand up straight and not hunch.
Back pain is no joke – help your man prevent it with this awesome little accessory.
More information available on their website.
Ted Baker Trapper Hat, $68.
Keep your outdoorsy guy warm while he’s snowboarding, hiking, and doing whatever it is that dudes do in the wilderness – gather wood?
So cute you might have to steal it for yourself too, major plus.
KOR Vida Stainless Steel Water Bottle, $18.
The durability of steel, without that nasty metallic taste. BPA-free.
Chic yet manly.
And a few stocking stuffers…
Gold’s Gym Power Glide Discs, $19.99.
These discs are awesome for on-the-go ab training. So easy to just toss in your carry-on.
I’ll be posting an intense gliding disc workout soon, so keep an eye out.
Vega Sport Chocolate Protein Powder Packets, $30 (for a 12 count)
I’m not going to call out the specific brand, but my guy has been loyal to one super-processed, faux sugar-packed protein blend for years now and I’m desperately trying to get him off it.
This year I’ll be stuffing his stocking with these single-serving vegan protein powder packets to give him another nudge to switch.
He’ll have no choice but to convert!
