My Healthy Holiday Gift Guide
+ Giveaway 2017
I love putting together my yearly healthy holiday gift guide. Mostly because it ends up turning into a holiday wish list that I can then send to friends and family with a little winky face emoji and a message saying, “Your smiling face is a gift in itself but in case you need ideas…”
In the past, I’ve assembled gift guides for every member of your clan — your fit fella, your fitness-sistas, etc. but this year I decided, you deserve to be totally selfish.
So this gift guide is just for YOU.
I’ve compiled a list of my favorite wellness gear and products to meet your needs this holiday season. From green beauty must-haves to adorable activewear to chic kitchen accessories, I’ve got everything the stylish, eco-conscious babe needs to look and feel great in 2018.
Now, you too can send a nudging email to your significant other or generous mother-in-law.
And in case you’re too shy to ask for what you want this year, I’ve got you covered.
The week before Christmas, I’m hosting my yearly Gift Guide Giveaway on Instagram. It’s a solid five days of chances to win over $700 worth of gear from this guide — scroll to the bottom of the post to find out what’s included.
And make sure you’re following me so you don’t miss out on all the awesome goodies up for grabs!
MY HEALTHY HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE 2017
1. HPE High-Waist Seamless Leggings + Impact Bra 2.0 in Burgundy, $135 + $80
This pretty floral set from HPE (High-Performance Engineering) is not only super on-trend with its moody jewel tones and mesh cut-outs, it’s also incredibly high tech. The FRESHFIT silver technology they use fights bacterial build-up to keep your activewear smelling fresh. The material is also UV protected — important in summer and winter alike. The comfy crop has maximum support and removable pads, with mesh for cooling.
This combo also comes in zebra, snakeskin, and ocean blue.
2. adidas PureBOOST X All Terrain, $69-150
These fashion-forward running shoes in eye-catching oxblood combine an energy-returning midsole with an all-terrain outsole for a lightweight shoe that is perfect for tackling everything from trails to the treadmill. The adaptive arch hugs and supports your foot, making it feel like you’re running on air.
The cute kicks also come in black, army green, and navy blue.
3. alo Yoga Idol Jacket, $168
This chic, sporty bomber jacket is perfect for keeping warm on your way to those early morning studio workouts. In fun winter patterns like this electric silver or white, navy and jungle camo, there’s a variation for every fit babe.
4. America’s Test Kitchen “Vegan For Everybody” Cookbook, $20
This book has become my best friend in the kitchen!
With science-based recipes and tutorials explaining all the basics of vegan cooking, it’s a must-have for anyone looking to up their plant-based bites. The delicious meals are all designed to appease veg-lovers and omnivores alike, so if you’re trying to convert your non-PPB family members to a more plant-based eating pattern, this book may do the trick.
5. LATHER Mindful Moments Meditation Kit, $28
Peace of mind is something we could all use a little more of this holiday season and this kit from LATHER has everything you need to find a bit of bliss. The kit includes a dreamy scented aromatherapy candle with frankincense and sandalwood, an inner peace meditation balm, a pretty, fade-resistant meditation bead bracelet, and a three-month pass to the meditation app Stop, Breathe Think.
I’ve been using the app for over a year now and I absolutely love it. It has five to ten minute guided meditations that you can do anywhere with themes like stress, anxiety, and sleep. FYI, there’s also a free version of the app!
6. Yoga Design Lab Travel Mat, $49
Take your practice on the road with this gorgeous printed travel yoga mat. The lightweight, foldable mat is made of sueded microfiber using recycled plastic bottles and bonded to a natural tree rubber base which gives you the sweaty grip of a towel with ample cushioning.
Fyi, it’s also machine washable.
7. Lorna Jane Leo Winter Tight + Sports Bra, $115 + $69
These adorable leggings and sports bra from Lorna Jane are so sleek, comfortable, and perfect for chilly winter workouts. The thick material is moisture-wicking, fade-resistant, and quick-dry, and the top provides full-coverage with thick straps to keep everything in place.
This is one of the main reasons I love LJ bras so much — they provide unbeatable support and coverage, something very important now that I’m pregnant and things are changing ;)
8. The Detox Market Best of Green Beauty 2017, $149
About a year ago, I started phasing out all of my old beauty products to green beauty products in an effort to keep it as clean in the bathroom as I do in the kitchen. What I’ve found — natural, organic, vegan beauty is just as luxurious and effective as the chemical-laden stuff.
My favorite place to go to get new products is The Detox Market because they painstakingly evaluate every single product on their shelves to make sure they meet their rigorous standards of purity. If you’ve been interested in transitioning your regimen but don’t know where to start, their yearly “The Best of Green Beauty” box includes top products for all aspects of your personal care regimen.
This year’s box includes Rahua Classic Shampoo and Conditioner, Lily Lolo Vegan Mascara, MV Skincare Rose Soothing & Protective Moisturizer, The Beauty Chef Collagen Inner Beauty Boost, Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator, rms beauty Vintage Cake Liner, Soapwalla Sensitive Skin Deodorant Cream, Davids Natural Toothpaste, and Odacité Green Ceremony Cleanser.
I have tried all of the products and can personally vouch for how amazing they are, especially the green cleanser which feels like a spa quality facial treatment in the comfort of your own home.
FYI, if this is a little more than you want to spend at once, The Detox Market also offers their new monthly The Detox Box, which hooks you up with $90 worth of products from a featured brand each month for only $39/month.
9. All-Clad 4-Square Belgian Waffle Maker, $159
This is *no joke* the most used piece of equiptment in my kitchen next to my Vitamix. If you follow me on social, then you know I eat waffles for breakfast at least three times a week. We got this waffle maker about three years ago and it continues to be the best kitchen purchase I ever made.
If you love waffles, you need this thing. It can turn absolutely anything into a perfectly crispy, delicious waffle — sweet potatoes, pumpkin, cauliflower — you name it. And once you get it, make sure to try my tried-and-true Banana Belgian Waffle recipe!
10. alo Yoga Peak Long Sleeve Top, $98
It may be chilly out but I’m happy to sacrifice a little warmth for the cool cutouts in this rosewater colored hoodie from alo. This comfy cropped sweater is perfect for tossing over your yoga ensemble for a trendy street style look.
The top also comes in hunter green, black, and a steely grey.
11. Odacite Discovery Kits, $29
Once you’ve indulged yourself with Odacité’s amazing cleanser from the beauty box, you’re going to want to follow up with one of their targeted serums, designed to meet a wide-range of skin concerns. To make figuring out your unique needs easy, this green beauty brand has developed Discovery Kits to allow you to try complimentary pairings of their best serums.
The four kits each address a top skin issue: Mature Skin, Pimple Prone Skin, Sensitive Skin, and Tired, Devitalized, and Dull Skin. The kit also comes with a time-release delivery cream to help deliver actives all day and lock in moisture.
I have the Wild Carrot Serum at home, and I have to say, when I put it on my skin looks instantly more vibrant.
12. Everlane Human Woman Tank, $22
This bold “Human Woman” tank from Everlane looks good and does good. For every limited-edition top sold, they donate $5 to Equality Now— a non-profit dedicated to fighting for equal rights for women around the world since 1992.
Get one for your guy too to help raise money for the ACLU.
13. Lorna Jane Active Living Diary + “Love You” Book, $39 + $39
Learn about how international women’s activewear mogul Lorna Jane incorporates her Move, Nourish, and Believe motto into everyday life with her 5th book, “Love More.” The book includes Lorna’s secrets to active living, tips for successful businesswomen, inspirational quotes, and recipes.
To assist you in your own endeavors, LJ’s Active Living Diary encourages monthly and weekly goal setting and provides you with healthy recipes to support your health journey.
14. Gold Measuring Cups + Spoons, $16
My style from jewelry to cutlery: all gold erythang. What can I say? I like the bling :)
This 8-piece set of gold measuring cups and spoons gives you that luxe look for a bargain. The set is made of stainless steel, the safest metal for the kitchen, and finished with a gold titanium coating.
15. Sweaty Betty Luxe Slipper Socks, $60
Winter wear is all about being cozy and these socks are the coziest. With insulating faux fur lining and a padded leather sole for enhanced grip, they are comfy enough for lounging around the house, but way more durable than traditional socks.
