Lose Weight & Feel Great with a Smoothie Cleanse
As I mentioned before, one of my New Year’s “revelations” is that I feel much happier when I don’t eat super-processed food.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not going to be pressing my own almond milk and foraging for vegetables now. I’m just going to try to be more focused and educated about what I’m putting in my body. This means avoiding products that have ingredients I’ve never heard of, or can’t pronounce.
One great way to stick to this is to buy products from companies I know follow strict guidelines with the ingredients they use, which is why I love the meal-replacement smoothies from OMG Blends. OMG stands for organic.made.great. and they use superfoods and high quality wholesome ingredients.
I mentioned them before when I served one of their amazing vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free soups — the Kabocha & Fuji Apple — with my Pumpkin Chili Turkey Meatloaf recently.
OMG’s smoothies are great to drink throughout the day when you need a balanced meal on-the-go, to restore your muscles after a hard workout, or as a 3 to 30 day cleanse to kick start your new year’s weight loss goals.
Because they provide a balanced mix of organic vegan protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fat, and fiber, they are a much better (and actually sustainable) way to lose weight and begin a weight loss program, as opposed to trying to drop pounds with a juice cleanse where results are short-lived.
The cleanses allow you to have real meals between smoothies, so you can easily work them into your life without having to forgo dinner out and other social activities.
Watch this quick video to learn why smoothie cleanses are so much better than juice cleanses, how you can cut sugar out of your diet, and why brown-rice protein powder is the bomb.

Another cool thing about OMG is that they make their own fresh almond milk from just water and locally-grown, sprouted almonds. There are no added preservatives, which means that all the enzymes are intact. They also make their own organic vegetable stock from local vegetable growers.
If you’re interested in trying one of OMG’s Smoothie Cleanses or buying a package of soups and smoothies, head over to their website to order online or find a retailer near you.

Marina @ PBlover and Runner says:
I still deliberate, whether it is worth setting the purposes for new year! On the one hand, it is much easier to adhere to a healthy way if you know where you go. But on the other hand, when I don’t achieve the objects I very much I am angry with myself! But I would like to run a semi-marathon or a marathon this year ;)
Whitney English says:
I feel you! Good luck with the running goals…whether or not you make them “resolutions” :)
Alex @ Kenzie Life says:
These look really amazing! I’m not looking to lose weight but one of my goals is to eat less processed food less often. What gets me is those days when I haven’t planned a meal ahead and have class, lab work, and am rushing to get to a barre class. These would come in handy then!
Whitney English says:
Yes preparation really is key!
Xosonja says:
I love that you say revelations versus resolutions. I think it’s smarter to think about what you wanr and set some goals to get you there since nye resolutions so easily get lost in the craziness of life.
Time to go workout! Xx
Whitney English says:
Thanks Sonja! Have a great workout :)
Maria Salamanca says:
I like this products, and where i can buy?
Dale Janee says:
What a great giveaway! I just missed it, but I have become obsessed with smoothies lately because they’re so easy to make and with protein powder fill me up. But these look even better. I’m definitely checking them out next time I’m in Cali. And your post on revelations was really motivating and a nice change from all the ‘resolution’ posts.

Thanks Dale!
Yeah, I live off smoothies. I like that they feel indulgent like a milkshake but are actually healthy :)
