An indulgent summer snack or dessert made with wholesome, healthy ingredients!
Ingredients
1 Frozen Banana
½ T. Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
1 T. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
1 T. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 tsp. Stevia
Optional Toppings:
1 T. Coconut Shreds
1 tsp. Chia Seeds
Wooden Skewer
Instructions
Peel a banana and skewer it about half way through. Place in the freezer on parchment paper and leave in for several hours until it's hard and frozen through. Note: I left mine in for several days.
Remove banana from freezer and spread peanut butter over the entire surface.
If coconut oil is hard, warm it in a sauce pan until it's liquid and then mix with cocoa powder and stevia. Pour over banana, collecting excess in a bowl below. Repeat until entire banana is coated.
Sprinkle topping of choice on the banana. Do this quickly before the coconut oil-cocoa sauce becomes completely hardened.
