Holiday Gift Guide: For Your Fashionable Fitness-sistas
Several years ago it seemed that fitness and fashion were mutually exclusive.
Brands that sold workout wear focused primarily on functionality and the only statement you may derive from one of their bright neon tops was actually a warning: “Move before you get run over.”
My mom will beg to differ, claiming that her monotone running shorts & jog bra combos were super fashion-forward, but I’d have to disagree.
Now, just about every major label has their own activewear line, proving that fit fashion is going mainstream.
You don’t have to choose to be stylish or strong, you can have both. Sure, you can find me up in the gym doing 70 lb lat pulldowns, but you best believe I’m wearing my dainty, diamond-encrusted initial necklace while I rep it out.
You can’t put me in box!
This year’s gift guide celebrates the lady who loves the best of both worlds. I hope you’ll enjoy these gifts for your fashion-forward, yet fit, friends and family.
Everyone who knows me knows I’m a tad bit obsessed with gold, so I just about died when I saw these babies. In addition to every color in the rainbow and some prints too, they come in rose gold, gold and silver, so you can match them to your favorite metal.
Bring a little bling to the barbells with these totally adorable and affordable earbuds from Happy Plugs.
New Balance Women’s W980V1 Fresh Foam Running Shoe
These kicks are not only super cute, they’re also incredibly comfortable.
They’re made with “foam technology” which gives the cushioning a more natural feel, that’s soft, yet stable. The blue and yellow (seen above) is my favorite but they come in a bunch of fun color combos as well.
Psst, they’re also on sale!
Beyond Yoga Crystal Mesh Long Leggings
These pants are great for when you’re feeling hot — like “heck yeah my butt looks great from that squat workout” — and when you’re seriously, physically feeling hot.
The mesh helps your body breath and keeps you looking babelicious.
And as I’ve mentioned before, Beyond Yoga’s leggings are seriously the softest, most comfortable leggings I’ve ever worn. For reals.
Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean you or your friends can neglect your sun protection routines. This stuff makes a great stocking stuffer and is way chicer than a bottle of Banana Boat.
Coola is antioxidant-enriched, to fight free radicals, and full of beauty promoting ingredients like Organic Acai Oil and vitamins C and E, which deliver anti-aging benefits.
It’s also hypoallergenic, paraben-free, oxybenzone free and it smells incredible.
Packing this one for New Zealand next week!
This bottle is just so darn cute.
Your gal pals might be able to bench 75+, but that doesn’t mean they’re too hardcore to biceps curl this baby.
The Bkr Water Bottle is made entirely from non-toxic, non-leaching materials. It’s BPA- and phthalate-free, so your drink remains chemical-free.
This necklace is identical to the one I wear every single day but it costs a fraction of the price!
Delicate jewelry is perfect for the gym. You can leave it on while you workout and don’t have to worry about it getting tangled up in your earbuds.
Acai isn’t just a totally hip antioxidant-boasting berry, it’s also a super stylish color.
But you know what’s even cooler than being on-trend? Being environmentally conscious.
The Eko Yoga Mat is made of non-Amazonian natural tree rubber that’s 99% latex-free and without any PVC. It’s completely biodegradable and non-toxic, so your friends can be fashionable and environmentally friendly.
And to go with that adorable dainty necklace, a grown up version of the friendship bracelet.
Show the ladies in your life just how much you love them with this sweet, no-fuss arm candy.
If you end up just shopping this list for yourself, I totally wouldn’t judge you — although Santa might.
*I did not receive compensation for this post. These are simply products I genuinely love and would give to a friend — or I genuinely want (wink, wink – Mom).
