3 Healthy Smoothies to Curb Your Candy Cravings
Happy Halloween everyone!
I remember when I was a kid and would come home after trick-or-treating and pour my bag of candy on the floor to inspect the goods, trading my sister my Starbursts for her Twix, and then stuffing my face until I was sick to my stomach.
Well, things haven’t changed tooooo much.
Left in front of a bucket of candy, with no other options, a similar situation could easily occur.
However, I now have the wisdom to know the repercussions of regularly eating high calorie, sugar-laden, processed goods and often manage some self-control in avoiding them (unless I’m two glasses of wine deep, then you need to handcuff me).
This Halloween, I’ve prepared a fail-proof plan. Before the candy even has a chance to entice me with its sweet seduction, I will have my brand new candy substitute smoothie recipes on hand. Each of these babies is packed with protein, healthy fat, and wicked flavor.
I’ve created one for each type of candy family you’re craving…the sweet and fruity, the nutty chocolate, and the coconut crunch.

yum! I love these ideas, smoothies are such a go-to for my sweet tooth too. Yummy mummy kitchen has this mint chip shake with spinach and peppermint extract and it’s amazing as well. I also do one with raw sweet potato, carrot juice, avocado, dates & cinnamon and it tastes like pumpkin pie, seriously!
Whitney English says:
Oh my yum! I need that pumpkin pie shake recipe!!!

These look so good Whitney and I’ve actually tried to make smoothies lately but these look way better than my boring banana ones.
Happy Halloween.
