GIVEAWAY: The Best of Expo West 2017
My favorite new products from this year’s Natural Products Expo West 2017. Enter below to WIN every single one of them!
Remember last year, when I gave away a TON of amazing new products from the Natural Foods Expo West? Well, it’s that time again!
This year I have 12 amazing products that I just know you’re going to love and 3 lucky winners are going to get each and every one of them. That’s $150 worth of tasty treats for each winner!
But first, a little background on Expo West.
The Natural Products Expo is the world’s largest natural, organic, and healthy products convention, bringing together the best of the best in food and beauty products.
Each year, about 80,000 people swarm the Anaheim Convention Center to get a peek and a taste of what’s hot in wellness. This year, there were about 3,100 exhibitors — by far too many for me to review for this post!
It’s a four-day extravaganza, but I only have the stamina to endure a day of it. There’s just so much to see. This year I attended on Saturday and covered as much as I could to bring you the best new products of the year.
I’ll admit I bypassed a lot of stuff (I didn’t even try any nut butters for goodness sake), but what I did see was impressive. Tons of delicious and inventive new products featuring of the moment ingredients like probiotics, ancient grains, florals, and one of the most important staples in my kitchen, seeds!
So without further ado, here are my favorite new products from Expo West:
1. Telula Coconut Citrus + Chia
Telula’s cold-pressed, organic chia juices are simply fantastic. They’re made from fresh fruits and vegetables (not from concentrate) and are free of additives, preservatives, and added sugar.
I love their line of + Chia juices because, as you know, I’m a seed fanatic. The addition of chia seeds to the juice adds 5 grams of fiber, 3 grams of protein, and 8% of the RDA of iron per serving, plus a hefty dose of omega-3 fatty acids. The added nutrients help balance out the natural sugar from the juice and provide you with sustained energy.
Unlike other cold-pressed juices which expire in about two days, Telula juices are flash-pasteurized, making them shelf-stable and easier to transport, yet still maintaining a ton of vitamins A and C. Plus, their bright, beautiful bottles are BPA/toxin-free thanks to the use of glass. They’re also 100% recyclable and reusable — funky flower vase perhaps?
Best of all, they’re affordable. You can find them in stores like Whole Foods, Walmart, Publix, and Kroger. Search here for a location near you.
Price: $8 per 32 oz bottle (4 servings)
2. Rollin Greens Italian Herb Millet Tots
Toward the end of the day Saturday, I was losing steam but decided to check out one more row of exhibitors. Boy, am I glad I did.
The delicious smell of Rollin Greens organic tots hit me before I even registered what was in these interesting little morsels. These tasty vegan tots are made with millet, an ancient whole grain that is gluten-free and high in plant protein. Millet is also high in fiber and minerals like magnesium and iron.
Unlike traditional potato-based tater tots, these scrumptious bites are made with organic oil and have no preservatives.
Look for them at select Whole Foods and natural grocers or win some below!
Price: $4.99 per box
3. Purely Elizabeth Maple Walnut Probiotic Granola
Probiotics just got a whole lot tastier. Purely Elizabeth, the makers of wildly popular non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and low-sugar granola, just introduced a new line of crunchy snacks with a new strain of probiotics that can withstand the baking process.
The bacteria (don’t get grossed out, it’s good for you) is called Bacillus coagulans and a recent study showed that it possesses anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating properties in vitro.
Good taste, good for your tummy. It’s a win, win!
Price: $6 for a half pound bag.
4. Coffee So Good Lavender Nutté
My favorite ingredient in Coffee So Good’s cold-pressed, organic, cashew milk coffees? Love :)
These creamy, delicious, on-the-go sips really are so good. They’re made with simple ingredients like real coffee, water, and cashews and lightly sweetened with a touch of agave nectar. There are no additives and the flavoring comes from real food like french lavender and raw cacao.
The cashews provide both a silky texture and add 4 grams of protein per bottle. Speaking of the bottles, they’re BPA and phthalate-free and made from recycled and recyclable PET.
Price: $30 for a six-pack, or $3.99 at Target

5. MyChelle Sun Shield Liquid Tint SPF 50
I can’t say enough good things about this amazing new product from one of my favorite natural beauty brands.
MyChelle’s new Liquid Tint is the perfect face sunscreen. It blends seamlessly into your face providing lightweight coverage that is ideal for daytime wear. It’s moisturizing but also non-oily — so much so that you would have no idea this stuff is packing such high sun protection.
I have been wearing it every day since I got it at the Expo and am already a devoted fan. It comes in two shades: nude and natural tan.
Price: $22.50
6. Simple Mills Fine Ground Sea Salt Almond Flour Crackers
The name of this product says it all: simple.
These delicious crackers are made with eight simple ingredients — a blend of nuts and seeds, high-oleic cold-pressed organic sunflower oil, and herbs and spice for taste. Thanks to the plant power of almonds, they have 3 grams of protein per serving and are a good source of vitamin E.
I’m a big fan of the plain sea salt flavor but the crackers also come in tasty varieties like Rosemary and Sea Salt, Farmhouse Cheddar, Sundried Tomato & Basil, Cracker Black Pepper, and Smokey BBQ Cheddar.
Price: $5 a box
7. Carrington Farms Ready-to-Eat Flax Chia Paks
And here I thought I came up with the idea of travel seeds!
These handy little Flax Chia Paks add a major dose of protein, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids to any meal. They are perfect to throw in your bag for healthy eating on-the-go. I like to toss them in my Starbucks oatmeal for a filling airport breakfast.
I’ve been bringing my own bag of seeds with me when I travel for years now (which some people have deemed “weird”), so I was incredibly excited to see that not only are travel seeds perfectly logical, but now I have an easier way of including them into my travel repertoire.
Price: $7.99 for a 12-pack
These seed paks are a great addition to my Superseed Oatmeal! >>
8. Sambazon Superfruit Acai Bites
Naturally sweet, frozen acai dipped in vegan dark chocolate? Yes, please!
These frosty bites from Sambazon, a leader in sustainable certified organic acai, are pure heaven. With only 4 grams of sugar per bite, they’re a healthy option to satisfy those late-night sweet cravings.
This awesome product is so new it hasn’t even hit stores yet. The bites will be available at Costo in late April/early May.

9. bRAW Super Green Superfood Bar
These uncooked, nutrient-dense bars taste way too good to be so healthy.
Made in Maui by a certified raw chef, bRAW Superfood Bars are incredibly tasty and packed with wholesome ingredients like nuts, seeds, coconut, and nutritional powerhouses like spirulina and chlorella. They’re organic, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and only have 7 grams of sugar per bar.
You can find these amazing bars in the refrigerated section in select Whole Foods in California and Arizona starting in April, or buy them online. PS – they taste extra yummy straight from the freezer!
Price: $42 for a box of 10
10. Honestly pHresh Deodorant Cream
Think natural deodorants don’t work? So did I — until I tried Honestly pHresh.
I have tried countless natural deodorants, from brands who will remain nameless, and had the same experience over and over again. Not only did they not work, they made me smell worse that I did without them. So obviously, I was skeptical about trying another one.
Honestly pHresh’s organic deodorant cream is both good for your body and incredibly effective. It’s 100% organic, vegan, aluminum-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, petroleum-free, glycol-free, gluten-free, and synthetic fragrance-free. I have been wearing their Cedarwood and Eucalyptus scent for two weeks now, and it has withstood even the sweatiest of hot yoga classes.
If roll-on or stick is more your style, they have those too, but I prefer the cream as it is made with baking soda, which works well for my body. They come in tons of awesome scents too like Lavender and Ylang Ylang, Geranium and Patchouli, Rosewood and Bergamot, and Sage and Chamomile.
Price: $12.99 for the cream, $7.99 for the roll-on or stick
11. Løv Organic Lovely Morning Tea
The pretty design and color of this organic tea tin is enough to bring a smile to my face in the morning.
Løv’s refreshing new Lovely Morning blend combines green tea leaves, green mate, orange, lemon, guarana, grapefruit, and marigold flowers for a delicate, citrusy flavor. And it has just the right amount of caffeine to get you up and at em in the morning.
The tea is available loose leaf or in muslin tea bags and Løv also sells pretty carafes with infusers to store it in.
Price: $19 for a loose leaf tin
12. Made in Nature Choco Crunch Figgy Pops
Got a sweet tooth? These chocolatey, organic energy balls will cure your craving.
Made with whole foods like dates, figs, cherries, pepitas, sunflower seeds, and coconut, these yummy bites are the perfect alternative to refined sugar snacks.
Each 2 ball serving has 3 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein. They also come in tasty flavors like Cherry Pistachio or Mangoberry.
Price: $4.99 per bag
