Anti-Inflammatory Green Smoothie
A delicious anti-inflammatory green smoothie recipe featuring non-traditional ingredients like ginger.
Happy St. Patty’s Day friends!
I’m not going to try to talk you out of enjoying a green beer tonight, but first, why not get in a few real greens with a tasty anti-inflammatory green smoothie.
This “Green Supreme” is not your basic green smoothie. This delicious sip features tangy flavor from pineapple and non-traditional mix-ins like ginger and chia seeds.
It is perfect for post-workout refueling and repair, as both pineapple and ginger have shown to possess anti-inflammatory properties.
Watch my video for the easy instructions or print the recipe below!
- 2 cups spinach
- ½ frozen banana
- ½ cup frozen pineapple
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla soy milk
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- ¼ teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- Combine all ingredients in a blender.

Anti-inflammatory smoothie, love it, the ingredients are all good for us. Maybe also optionally add wheat grass, spirulina or chlorella too (depending on the taste though).

This looks amazing Whitney! How do you get such a smooth texture? When I blend greens I end up having to chew my smoothie. Ive been looking into getting a new blender and I’m thinking of the Vitamix 5300 after reading this article https://livingfreshdaily.com/vitamix-5200-vs-5300-which-is-best/ but I was wondering if you have any specific recommendations for blenders? Thanks
Whitney E. RD says:
Hi Kim! I just have a standard vitamix and it works great! If your smoothies are too chunky, just try adding more liquid!
